Cub Scouts use SoundCommander^® to maximize event communications

We used it for the opening ceremony / flag raising / announcements Saturday morning (hand held squeeze button mike) in an open filed at the flag poles (about 1200 people). Then we moved it to a large pavilion where I taught 5 groups of 105 to 115 kids + an equal number of adults about astronomy with a slide show (and headset mike). Then for the campfire / skits / night sky event at the amphitheater, we used the squeeze mike for skits and most talking and I used the headset to move around and direct their attention to different things (about 1200 people). We even lead a few songs with it. Then Sunday morning we had a service and closing ceremonies at the flag poles with the headset mike (about 1200 people).   It was awesome, made a big impact on the communication quality especially getting important announcements out to everyone.   Everyone was in shock and awe that a system like that is designed and built right here in Marietta! Thank you so much for letting us use it. Perhaps we can get one some day.

This was a major breakthrough in our ability to communicate – had NUMEROUS people tell me how much it helped (except it did pretty much guarantee that people could actually hear my “homily” during Scouts Own ( which might not have been such a great deal for those who showed up…)

I think that everyone was extremely impressed with the system.  It certainly had a great impact on our event.  I was privileged to be able to use the system during opening and closing ceremonies and could not believe the power that it provided, especially given it's portable, small design.
